Gender-Responsive Public Diplomacy

A New Nigeria that Advocates for the Success of Nigerian Women All Over the World is POssible!

Women make up nearly half of the International Migrant workforce. Nigerian women across the globe continue to make immense contributions within their communities, nations of residence and the entire development landscape.

With enormous progress taking root across the African continent, Diasporans are uniquely positioned to contribute to boosting the economic growth and prosperity in Africa. It is important that we have a foreign policy system that views and treats the diaspora community as valuable stakeholders in the promotion of national and regional development.

And a government that positions itself as an equal partner and investor in the social and economic prosperity of the global Nigerian community.

Much of the diaspora relations focus has been on strengthening their role and capacities as effective actors in the development of their countries of origin. We need a system that equally makes the protection and success of the Nigerian woman and girl in every city of the world a priority.
